    Hi Guys,

I am looking to install an ACT 5 keypad with a Maglock and Contact.

When the door is opened without a code the siren will go off.

When the door is opened with the code/ exit button the siren will not go off and the door opens.

Could anyone help me install it.

    I have the following:

    ACT 5 Pin Keypad
    PN2ST1000C Power-Plex ST 12volt DC 1amp Compact PSU
    HN1CP1270 Recharageable 12V DC 7Ah/20Hr Battery
MN6BW010 White Surface Contact 5 Term
CN02SOSB1L CQR Mini Piezo Sound Bomb 110dB(A)

    Thanks in advance.

    Aaron

I think you are better off with an act 10 for this job as the act5 does not have any built in door monitoring.
You could get a timer relay or similar to make it work but I'd just use the act10, much easier

I haven't bought the Keypad yet so I am open to the suggestion for the equipment.

I will not be installing the maglock and exit button yet.

    So to explain better.
To open door you put in code, this disables door contact and release the maglock. When door closes contact re activates. When you use the exit button its deactivates the contact again.

When the door is opened without a code the siren will go off.

I want to install it my self. Would this be difficult.

    Thanks

    Aaron

You will need the exit button to make this work, how are you meant to open door from inside without activating sounder.
ACT10 will do the job, read the manuals etc on their site.
Wrt difficulty, I would say it's easy enough, a few hours max

Yea I would need the exit button wouldnt I :)

So the sound would then be the guest buzzer.

It looks fairly ok to do. I got a quote for €400 to get it done. Or it would be €210 for everything and install it myself.

Please don't ask the same questions across multiple threads.
In any of the suppliers. Where are you located?
