Use energy efficient appliances, everything from kettles to computers - saves more in the long run.

use the time delay on dishwasher etc so they run through the nite when the load is at its least thus saving bringing innefficient power stations on during peak hours!

Charge all devices that need charging @ night-time - cheaper rates!
Same goes for Using the Washing machine & Dishwasher in the evening as opposed to during the day!

Get some of the remote control plugs that you can switch off totally (i.e. nothing left in standby mode)

Turn off Appliances, dont leave them on standby, they still use a lot of electricity when on standby!

put a jumper on instead of the heating, and body heat keeps you warm to, so cuddle up on the couch

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,038 ✭✭✭rob1891

Turn the heating down in your kitchen and cook a batch of bread in the oven! Might have to eat a lot of bread to do this every evening tho ... ;-)
