I can't seem to access the wifi using my laptop. It was asking for a username and password. Should I use my ucd connect details or is there a password i should know about?

Yeah, if you're connecting through Eduroam, all you have to do is enter your UCD connect username and password. http://www.ucd.ie/itservices/itsupport/eduroam/

You could use the WaveLAN network either, but you'd have to set it up using a proxy. I'd use Eduroam though, as there tends to be a lot less people using it, and it's a lot quicker as a result.
