Sports betting is very popular in the UK and Ireland. I am looking for a list of countries where sports betting is particularly popular.

Any suggestions on how to compile such a list?

    Thanks.

I think if you would exclude some countries with extreme Islam or some other strict religion plus "3rd world countries" , you will find sports betting popular everywhere. Don't see a difference between UK and Poland - it's very popular here as well (even when we have a kind of an anti-betting law), just bets are placed for less money.

I'd say Headshot has Tipperary out there as a country of it's own :D

I would be looking at 2 top 10 list for countries where someone bets at least once a month.

    1st. Total number of people

    2nd. Per capita

Australia is the top country per capita.

Maybe if you tell people why you want the info, they might be forthcoming with it

Why would that make a difference to them posting a link?

Because if I thought you'd be profiting off it, I wouldn't share it

You can do your own research so...

I dont see why you would care if it was some sort of project for college or for a business idea. Your coming across as a miserable person.

Oh I am. And I didn't really care until you wouldn't answer.

Regardless of whether you think its a factor or not

You do realize that asking a question on a public forum is a form of research.

the idea of a forum is that like-minded people can help each other out and compare ideas.

I have no idea of the most popular countries. But the US is really popular on all the big national sports over there from college football and basketball to the NFL and NBA. Baseball and hockey are also big.

Just check out how active the below forums are. If it's a project you're doing might be worth creating accounts on some of the below if you needed to know more info.
