    Just wondering.

Is it possible to get a flight to Australia on a month or three holidays, then after that, go on to NZ on a year / holiday from within Australia?

Would there be any hassle in landing in Australia without a flight out, or is it adviced to book flights to Nz in advance before landing in Aus ? What about getting the year / hol nz visa from within Aus? Is that a prob?

    thanks

You might have to prove to boarder control that you have enough money to support yourself for 3 months holidays . Also explain why you don't have a return flight or onward flight. They want to make sure your not using a holiday visa to try to migrate to Oz.

As for applying for Nz visa within Oz not sure if you can do that . Would be better to have that all sorted before getting to Oz i would think.

If you are Irish, you can apply for an NZ visa anywhere in the world online, you don't have to be in your home country. You will be fine without an onward ticket when entering Oz as long as you have proof you can support yourself, they are not strict on this at all. However NZ is a different story. You ,ust have an onward ticket out of NZ on arrival even as tourist. They will ask for proof of this before you leave Australia and when you arrive in NZ
