Free parking around Charlemont street Dublin 2

    Hi, I'm just wondering does anyone know where the nearest free parking is too charlemont street? I would really appreciate any help thanks.

    I don't think you'll find anywhere around there for free. Pretty much all on street parking in Dublin is paid now.

    Thanks for the reply, i don't mind walking a few minutes its just im not sure how long ill be.

    I don;t know about southside, but I occasionally park in Drumcondra and it's pay parking, and it's outside the map.

    Hate to say it, but you'd probably be better off getting the bus.

    When I was living in Portobello a few years ago, the closest free street parking was in Rathmines, south behind the church in the middle of Belgrave Road at Purser Gardens. Not sure if it's been marked off now. It is about a 1km walk though (15/20 mins).

    Thanks for all the replies. The nearest free parking i found was in rathmines. If your heading towards terenure take a right at the library and its your first left. A little lane way both sides.

    Everywhere can have pay parking, its just that it would have the lower rate: http://www.dsps.ie/site/content/zones_map.pdf
