    Quick question, how much would a taxi cost into G City from oranmore & the same to come home after a night out ??

    €13 each way with the taxi company I use Pro Cabs, which are situated in Eyre Square http://www.procabs.ie/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=51&Itemid=48

    However a previous thread would indicate Oran Cabs charge a flat rate of €12 each way http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055829600

    15 - 20 euro was what I was used to.

    Granted I haven't needed to get a taxi out to Oranmore in about a year, but that's what it was then.

    It's anything between 20-25. You might get into town for less that 20 but not on the way back after a night out. Always ask before you get into taxi and haggle :)

    What company Trevor? Makes a big difference if it's a hackney or a GT calling to your house first.

    get the bus into galway 3.20 one way:D/6.40 return. bus goes every hour/bus eireann/citylink/etc. all stop there.

    I got charged €15 to get to Sandy Road a few weeks ago after the Celtic Shore Festival. I think it was Oranmore cabs. They were down just around the corner when you turn into Castle street/Rd...

    No they really don't. Given up on them, only use Pro Cabs now, it's always 13 euro. Oran Cabs was always 15 and believe me I've gotten enough cabs, even when not going the whole way to Eyre Square!
