Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Open to correction but between 1 to 1.5 bales per month

We used to estimate that 1 bale fed 10 cows per day (sucklers)
Reckon 1 bale would feed about 15 of those bullocks a day
    Or
    1 Bullock for 15 Days..

Way different to Locky on this....not claiming to be the right one either :o

rule of thumb 10 bales per suckler cow per winter (winter is 5/6 months)

400kg bullock will eat less than a suckler cow.

    do the maths.

Not that different, he is saying up to 1.5/month = 20 days/bale, you are saying 15 days/bale.

Allowing for different bullocks, different bales.......

It depends on the dry matter of the bales. Cattle will eat 1.8% of their body weight in dry matter of silage a day.
