Building budget PC

Hey, finally need to replace my 7 year old non gaming PC after it gave out and wondering if building one is a viable/sensible option. As long as it can match my old one I'm perfectly happy (2.66GHz cpu speed and 2GB RAM). Could I build a working rig with new parts from reliable vendors for less than the €320 Dell's cheapest PC goes for or would trying to build my own at that price range be daft?

Already have monitor, speakers, mouse, keyboard and operating system.

Thanks for your help. I'm tempted to go for the 1TB drive but otherwise i think I'll go for the cheaper build as i don't see myself doing anything that'd take advantage of a better PC.

Sure why not.

Can anyone tell me the difference between this and this? They seem like the same product at different prices.

The more expensive one has a heatsink for the CPU. There's ones below €10 on HWV but they're likely to be worse than AMD's.
