Before Jerry, there was a desk clerk called Timmy. They never explained where he went either, but he also reappears in later seasons.

Also, the desk clerk Frank was in season 1 as a completely different character, a patient who got shot I think.

    God, I love ER.

I left my then group of friends because I could see that she was falling for a guy that I dated briefly and was a mutual friend and I knew that they would never get together with me around. They are married with children now but when I tried to go back a few years later they ignored me :(

One of my best friends told me she was going to New Zealand with her husband and child, I text her the day she was meant to be heading wishing her all the best and she never text back.

Was talking to one of her friends lately and she told me that she didnt in fact go to New Zealand but another country where they speak french and she heard that my friend was having an awful time getting used to the language. I tried adding her husband as a friend on facebook as she isnt on it and he is ignoring my add's but adding oter friends.

I eventually found out after a bit of snooping around online that she is Maritius. Still don't know why she didn't tell me this in the first place instead of lying. :(

It's great. Rocket Romano is a hero of Pighead's. Gotta love the smarmy wee fcuker.

Had a summer job in a fancy dress shop years ago and there was a really weird customer that used to disappear into the changing rooms for days on end. Always wore a suit and bowler hat and when he invariably showed up again would claim that he had gone off to "have an adventure'.

Used to freak us out, to be honest.

Explains the sticky pirate suits, though.

AH just wouldn't be the same without Pighead, while enjoying my bacon and sausages last week, it dawned on me that you haven't been around as of late.

Oh, ER. I thought you meant Greys Anatomy and I had no idea what you were on about.

I used know this fuzzy haired kid, good crack and up for most stuff - last I saw him was about 1998 and he seems to have been replaced by this obnoxious fat baldy lad who goes on about people leaving the 'fricking lights on all the time'. I miss fuzzy head...

Speaking of which Outlaw Pete has been on the missing list of late - is there a film festival on or something?

Ellie, Pighead wouldn't dare call you a liar but that is most definitely untrue!

Have scoured through the whole of season 6 for a Jerry reference and found absolutely no mention of him at all. Heard the words, merry, very and Kerry mentioned but definitely no Jerry.

There can never be enough fawning fanboys Mocha. 80% of the current batch of fanboys will drop Pighead like a hot potato when he releases his difficult second album. They may be fawning fanboys now but they're not in it for the long haul.

Pighead needs loyal fanboys who will stick by him even when he's writing rubbish posts like this one.

He was banned for writing a list of things he hates on the film forum.

Ironically one of the things on his list was threads with lists in them.

Did your folks not tell ya the story about Timothy going to live on the farm down the country ? instead of just saying he vanished.
For all you know he may have gone on to live a fruitful and happy life chasing rabbits and siring loads of little Timmys... or be buried in your garden.

Pighead was 14 when Timothy disappeared so alas knew all about the cruel ways of the world we live in.

Unfortunately, Pighead was a very streetwise kid and wouldn't be fooled about some cock and bull story about Timothy moving to a farm down the country. Anyway, it didn't matter in the end as we got a new puppy soon afterwards.

Mammy told Pighead that the dog fairies left it for us at the bottom of the garden to make us feel better about Timothy's disappearance. A wonderful gesture from the fairies in fairness.

I know someone who moved out of her boyfriends house after living there for seven years, so when he came back from work, she had completely erased herself. No note. Nothing. No explanation to him at all. She told me later that he had not spoken to her for almost a year, so she didn't bother telling him that she planned to move out. He was devastated and contacted us all pretending to everyone that he didn't know how she could have done this. None of us ever told him where she went.

Doubt it. He took his rucksack and all his stuff with him. He obviously felt we'd outgrown each other and it was time to move on.

Would have been nice if the spineless coward could have said all that to Pighead's face but there you go. Dogs are notoriously spineless anyway. Like jellyfish.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,271 ✭✭✭annascott

I beg to differ. Dogs are not spineless, Timothy had the guts to leave. Maybe he was a bit freaked out by his 'friend' speaking in the third person...I know I would be

Listen Scotty, Pighead doesn't mean to be rude but you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about.

Timothy left because he had issues of his own to sort out. It had nothing to do with Pighead talking in the third person and it most certainly had nothing to do with having guts.

He ran away because Pighead had recently gotten himself a new girlfriend and rather than stay and fight for his masters affection the lily livered pooch decided to take the easy option and head for the hills.

    Does Pighead miss him?
    Of course he does.

Does he still harbour hope that Timothy will come rushing through the dog flap in the back door and jump into his masters arms?
    Yeah, probably.

Did Pighead split up with his girlfriend back in 91 because he called her Timothy when they were fumbling around on the sofa?
    Maybe.

Have to laugh at all the people attempting to get the better of Pighead, it's simply not possible. It's kind of like trying to outsmart the automated chat robot that infested MSN Messenger a few years ago. Always comes up with a term of abuse so vacant of curse words that people split their sides laughing at them.

Why is it that people derive such fun and laughter from slagging people without the use of expletives?

Too tired to read through 7 pages so I'll answer your original question. The actor who played Jerry left to do the show Men in Trees. At some stage the character is referred to as moving to the mountains (where Men in Trees was based). The character of Jerry comes back to ER around season 9 (I think).

Actually its in a season 8 episode. Someone says Jerry had retired and went off to open his own pub in Alaska. That's a reference to another show that the actor was in while he was a.w.o.l. from ER.

No, Men in Trees. It's set in Alaska and the actor played a barman in it.

You're actually just a bully in disguise. Manipulating people from opposing you for fear they might be at the end of one of your 'scathing retorts'.

Just because you cover it up in a humorous way doesn't excuse the fact that you're just being nasty to people in order to feed your own ego. Find other outlets for your narcissism that doesn't require putting others down in order to big yourself up.

You can be funny without it being at other people's expense
