Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

New Gas Rates from 1st October.

    I could not find any info on new pricing for 1st October on your website

    Bord Gais Energy will be putting up the gas rates from 1st October 2011.

    Their standard gas rate will be 4.786 EX VAT

    Standard charge 73.03 per annum EX VAT


    I assume you will maintain the 4% and 6% discount on the new rate for new customers - is that correct.?



    According to my calculations the new 6% discount rate Ex Vat is 4.50 unit - is that correct?


    Will you be matching Bord Gais Energy new standard rate 73.03 per annum EX VAT

    Hi Blue Ice,

    We have information on the gas price increase here (mentioned alongside the residential electricity price increase effective from October 1st, accessible from the homepage).

    The gas rates detailed on our website (in the Price Plan section - click on 'Price Plan Rate Details') are aligned to the regulated Bord Gáis tariff, and are therefore subject to change in accordance with any CER determination on price. We will continue to offer customers discounts of up to 6% against these rates.

    That's about right, yes. I calculated it at €0.0455.

    As our gas prices are aligned to the regulated rates, this would be inclusive of the Bord Gáis daily standing charge.
