Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Main Card
Welterweight bout: Jake Shields vs. Jake Ellenberger
Middleweight bout: Court McGee vs. Dongi Yang
Featherweight bout: Jonathan Brookins vs. Erik Koch
Middleweight bout: Alan Belcher vs. Jason MacDonald
    Preliminary Card (Facebook)
Lightweight bout: Cody McKenzie vs. Vagner Rocha
Lightweight bout: Evan Dunham vs. Shamar Bailey
Welterweight bout: Matt Riddle vs. Lance Benoist
Bantamweight bout: Ken Stone vs. Donny Walker
Welterweight bout: Clay Harvison vs. Seth Baczynski
Welterweight bout: TJ Waldburger vs. Mike Stumpf
Featherweight bout: Mike Lullo vs. Robert Peralta
Welterweight bout: Justin Edwards vs. Jorge Lopez

Few nice fights on this Saturday, be interesting to see how Jake Shileds is after the loss to GSP and the deat of his father. Also two great Rofussport fighters on the main card. Be great to see Belcher back after such an unfortunate injury. Really looking forward to it and I reckon him and Kock will both finish the fights. Also looking forward to seeing new signing Peralta. Seen video of his and his hands look ridiculous.

Yeah it looks like a decent card overall with a few potentially good fights. I wonder if Shields will have his head in the game after his dad passed away.
It'll be interesting to watch the lads from last seasons tuf aswell, see how they're getting along. I liked Clay Harvison on the show so I'd like to see him do well. Not too keen on Shamar Bailey though.

Just as well, because Evan Dunham is a beast and will tear him limb from limb!

Busy night if I stay up, wonder what time this will finish and what time Floyd will enter the ring in his fight.

Solid standup shown by Baczynski, card is getting a bit better now.

He is huge for a welterweight! Good performance from him. Was hoping Harvison would do well tonight.

Tough crowd, especially seeing as the winner is the hometown guy. I thought he looked great before his nose got smashed and managed to cope well with it after. I'd say he'll do well in the UFC.

Yeah as Joe Rogan said, the crowd seemed to forget the first 2 rounds. He looked fantastic up until his nose got smashed and then he was basically just trying to protect his nose for the whole of round 3. I think the judges got it spot on.

Shamar Bailey is about to get his ass handed to him.

Jesus! Now I understand why Bailey was forever looking for the takedown! I don't think he'll ever wanna stand again after that last round!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,438 ✭✭✭✭El Guapo!

I wasn't expecting that fight from Bailey. Really impressed with the improvement in his stand-up. Great heart too.
Hopefully we can see Dunham back in the mix now and only go up from here.

Funny fight this, I don't think we'll be seeing a title challenger emerging from it somehow.

I'd like to know what the UFC's policy is on walkout music is. The same songs seem to pop up over and over. It's like as if they give the fighters a list like a jukebox.

    McKenzie's song :D

To be fair, there's a few songs which really suit an intro, "Can't Stop" is definitely one of them imo.

The fighters have to put forward their walkout songs to Dana for approval and if Dana says no he picks one for you, which is why you'll often hear a lot of repeat songs.

Sometimes you;ll hear weird ones like the theme from the UFC xBox game..... there's no way any fighter has chosen that!

Expected more from MacDonald, but well done Belcher.

Thing is, I don't think Belcher was too far away from a title shot when he got injured. I'd love to see him get a big win (maybe the winner of Bisping v Mayhem) and get a title shot should he win.

I wouldn't say they'd give him the winner of Mayhem-Bisping. Maybe they'll give him the loser and then step up from there. I'd love to see him destroy Bisping though.

Probably. and hopefully the loser of Bisping v Miller WILL BE Bisping. Can't stand him!

Nah, Rogan would be sitting in the corner while it's all happening telling Goldberg what exactly is going on and what moves are being used!

Belcher v McDonald was decent. Brookins v Koch was terrible!

Glad they gave it to Koch. Brookins never looked like he wanted to find a way to win the fight!
