It's easier than you think! In fact, you've been acting all your life! Games and exercises will be used to reconnect to your natural use of mimicry and play - the fundaments of acting. Class will progress to Shakespearean monologues and scene work. The basics of mining classical text for clues to character, intention, mood, and tone will be covered. Class limited to 8 students. Mondays, starting 26 Sept., at The Granary Theatre, Mardyke, Cork. 6-8pm. €150 for 12 weeks.

Instructor: Ashley Strand holds an MFA from The Academy for Classical Acting in Washington, DC, and has been acting professionally since 1996, appearing most recently in Spring Awakening at The Granary and soon at the Everyman Palace Theatre.
