sending a frame to UK, cheapest option?!

I sold a large frameset not knowing the exact shipping costs, I think with anpost they will charge me by dimensional weight, which has me worried.


the parcel will have dimensions of 14cm width, 87cm length, 67cm dept at aprox 3.5kg, (frameset weighs 2.5kg)

anyone have any advice as to a good service to use? I need it insured with tracking/signature on delivery.

I was hoping the most it would cost would be 40euro and would love for it to cost 20!:o

IIRC I sent a frame to the UK through GLS (The parcel shop) for €36. It was this time last year, so prices may have risen. And I think their basic insurance only went up to €500 which was slightly less than the frame cost. I wasn't ar5ed paying any more and it got there in one piece.

Sheffield, Im not sure its urgent as its a restoration. well the buyer is a fan of the framebuilder and is going to get a pro paint job done.

the problem is Ive got payed already, Ill contact him later as Im supposed to send it today/tomorrow.
