Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi there!

Right, so I'm thinking of making the big plunge and getting laser done.

Does anyone have any thoughts on this? Tips, do's and don'ts?

I live in Cavan so I have the option of slipping up the North if it would be cheaper but does anyone even have someone reliable they could recommend?

Thinking of getting underarms, lip and bikini line? Would legs be a good idea too? I know it's running up the €€€'s but I don't have to get them done all at once!

    DANKE :)

check out this website hairtell.com it has an excellent forum on laser hair removal. Its not really recommended for female facial hair as it can induce more growth, the clinics won't tell you that though. It works well on underarm and bikini line hair as its coarse and dense.

Anyone get it on the face? Is there a risk of scarring?
I'm not super hairy but you know sometimes the way make up has a slight shadow on the upper lip, might be nice to laser that.

from what I have read, initially it seems to work well for the face but a year down the line many women report that they have more hair as it can stimulate dormant follicles. the hair on the face is hormonal as well making it risky for laser

I purchased a course of 6 laser treatments (half leg and underarm) for... ONE HUNDRED AND THIRTY NINE!!! euro!!
Im so busy working I haven't had a chance to have a session yet, but it was on one of those deal websites.

I've never had laser done before so slightly apprehensive.

Hey I just started laser hair removal, I felt I have very little choice as I suffer SO badly from ingrown hairs. I love waxing but the ingrowns make it a nightmare. I've done everything for it but I'm just one of those unlucky folk who is prone to my hairs growing back in on themselves. Idiot hairs.

I am having it done on my underarms and extended bikini. Have to say I am stunned by how painful it is. I am so used to getting hollywood waxes that I thought I'd be able for the laser pain but there are two or three spots that are very, very sore. The underarms is way worse than bikini but luckily it's such a tiny area it's finished in no time. The tummy doesn't hurt at all. And overall the bikini is ok but the area where your leg creases into your bikini area is freakin' painful. It is a little scary just because I read all the possible side effects but I guess there is a risk with everything, even waxing.

I am having it done by my regular waxer so at least I trust her and feel like she knows what she's at. I will keep ye updated on how the results are if anyone's interested. It's all very exciting :D
