Never met the man but have read a bit about him. I would agree that he was indeed a patriot - something very rare in "Ireland" today. In many ways he was the opposite to our "Gombeen Fianna Fail Culture" and one can see alone from his funeral that the man had class. "What profit a man if he gaineth the world but forfeit his soul". May he rest in Peace and God grant us more men like him.
