    Money Questions

Flying out to Australia in October just a few questions.

Should I bring dollars like on my person or should I just transfer it over when I get to australia.
Flying into Sydney just wondering which bank would be most suitable for a back packer.

    Thanks in advance

Please do a search on the forums- plenty of info on banks here

You should of course bring some money.

Whether to transfer it - is up to you, if you think the $ will get stronger then yes, if you think the euro will go up then no.

But all transactions *might* have a fee, and BOI only allow a limited amount per day.

So if you transfer a bulk amount you don't get the withdrawal fee, but run the risk of losing money if euro goes up
