I've been doing a bit of research into alternatives to the woe of any person who hates watching online video, and seeing the picture jump every time the picture moves. Flash player.

So I'm now using a thing called Blader which is incorporated into Coojah, an advanced packet sniffer which sometimes helps and sometimes doesnt.

Coojah must be using rtmpdump to download the files - the packet headers are as follows, which i've tried to use in rtmpdump, but only gets 2 % of the file... I gleaned the parameters manually with Urlsnooper.
    url: rtmpe://fmsod.rte.ie/live/rte2
    app: live/
    flashVer: WIN 10,3,181,26
    pageUrl: http://www.rte.ie/live/
    swfUrl: http://www.rte.ie/player/assets/player_446.swf
    tcUrl: rtmpe://fmsod.rte.ie/live/
    playPath: rte2

This downloads (in Blader) to a folder shared with my mac (i'm running a virtual machine) , and I open the flv as a pipe in VLC on my mac.

Hey presto, proper RTE over the internet - i can delay audio with g , f, keys.

NOTES: This *works* for RTE player and others, but I mostly use it to watch the TWiT ustream channel because the flash player version flickers like a analogue television...

Also, RTE don't switch off the stream for non-web stuff *cough* *cough*
