    It's funny how protest is considered suspect and ridiculous in the west. Is it because we're democracies so street protest is considered moot/silly/aggro/pointless?

    For a protest to be taken seriously, it needs a clear agenda and wide ranging support from the general public, not a fringe group who are simply anti bank or whatever.

    Most of all the protesters themselves need to be from multiple sectors of the general public and there needs to be a huge number of them as well.
