    Howdy all,

I have my PC in a new house but I cant get it connected to the internet without running an ethernet cable through the hall which would be unsafe and ugly looking.

So I was looking at a wireless network card. but this is quite unfamiliar territory for me. I was looking at this one

    Anyone have any better suggestions?

TBH, there's not that much difference between them. Just try to find references that whichever one you pick has drivers the OS and compatibility with router you want to use. Compatibility is generally quite good.

You might want to get a PCI-E x1 card if your PC has a free slot; PCI is disappearing from motherboards.

An alternative is homeplugs. A little more expensive but quite reliable. Some people complain about radio interference although anyone I know personally that's used them has been quite happy.

    Here's a 200Mbps pair for fairly cheap.
