Looks like one of the folks lucky enough to be chosen for the very private Dota 2 beta has decided to share their good fortune with the rest of the world by leaking the client to the public. The rabid Dota 2 fanbase has quickly begun mining the files for new info and content, leading to an unprecedented outpouring of new details and assets

I would assume so, a Steam account would have to be flagged as having access to DOTA2 beta to run the files and server browse.

Betas are only glorified demos nowadays anyway. Before you used to have to be known to the developer and actually report bugs plus sign an NDA. This wont cause Valve much distress.

No Valve PC game has ever been leaked prior to release other than when Valve was hacked directly and the Half-Life 2 early alpha (pretty much unplayable anyway) was stolen.

some true in that.

there is feck all to report in diablo 3 beta, there is no report option or button. it is like a demo, very short one in fact.

i was told that it will be all beta testers will get to play too, which is sort of weird...
