Looking for a white tuxedo jacket and black tuxedo pants. Anyone see either lately in any of the more affordable mens shops? river island, tj maxx etc etc...

    thanks,
As its not fashionable id imagine you would need to go to the more specialised mens shops and not the more high street stores.

Can anybody recommend a power-washing company to power wash the walls of a house?

Also do people know what kinda price you'd be looking at for a semi-detached, circa 1, 300sq ft?

    Thanks

Thanks Biko, I already have a 2000w power washer, but its not the best, and with the height involved with the house its not worth the risk.

I've used these guys for indoor work without any issues www.cleaningdoctor.ie/galway.html, they seem to do outdoor stuff too.

Daughters birthday very soon and need Moshi (apparently important) goodie bags.

  • Registered Users Posts: 81,222 ✭✭✭✭biko

Toys4u Tuam road or Smyths is my guess.
    Is it sweets or toys?

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,922 ✭✭✭beardybrewer

Oh she had a small fortune of Moshi stuff picked out on Amazon, I scoffed at the price without thinking, she freaked out and deleted the order. We've entered "don't mention the war" territory so I'm just going to go hide over here in the corner.

I think that most travel shops (for luggage and such) have the universals but I've seen them in the 2euro shops too.
The universals have "any" input and UK output. Some also have any input and any output.

Thanks, I've tried a few discount stores but they just have irish input and american/european output.

    I'll try a luggage store.

Plus 1 for Sea Road but also I have found the guy in the Galway Shopping Centre to be really good. He's just inside the main front door on the right.

Dunnes had a selection of adapters on a stand in their homeware / clothing section in Briarhill near the tills. Didn't notice whether that particular one was there but there certainly seemed to be a good few different ones. Presumably the other Dunnes's in the city have them too.

Maplins in Wellpark. They are the proper professional ones though if I remember right. I was very tempted by the smoke machine!

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,922 ✭✭✭beardybrewer

Lucky to be alive (presumably). Taking a shower and had a head full of soap when I smelled a distinct resistor/plastic smell. Looked up to see smoke coming from the top of the shower unit.

Looking for a Mira Sport (standard - ~ €220-240 range). Argos carry the fancy 400+ one. Anyone know where I can get a good price as I need to replace this fast!

If you come across an itchy, smelly person this long weekend that's bound to be me.

    Higgins in Shantalla?

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,922 ✭✭✭beardybrewer

    Higgins in Shantalla?

Phones them and they themselves referred me to Mc Donogh and Walsh Heat & Plumb. The latter had it at the better price although shipped in from UK is obviously cheaper.

EDIT: Found the best deal at B&Q. 19% off sale on right now (although I did have to point it out at checkout). Same unit €430 in Argos. Got mine for €268.

EDIT2: If anyone can recommend a plumber please let me know. I need to get this installed fast!

For plumbing, that place on New Road are good. Conboy.
