    Hi,

I am enquiring about the Teac AG980 receiver/amplifier. I notice it can support 4 pairs of speakers, i have 4 pairs of ceiling speakers installed in my house in the 4 different rooms, the question i have is can i switch each pair on and off individually on the amp or are they mapped in two pairs together.

Basically i want to get a multiroom system up and running as cheaply as possible, had it wired for a more expensive wall panel system during the boom times - not going to happen now :(

Also it mentions ipod input, i presume this is just a aux in/phono sockets and not an actual ipod connector..

Do you have them in stock and how would you rate them....

Hi there. Cheers for the post and sorry for the late reply.

The Teac AG980 is one of the cheapest ways to do a basic multiroom system.

The amp has a built in tuner and will power the speakers that you have.

It is designed as a 2 zone system but that means it copes with 2 different inputs.

Check out page 8 of this manual and I think this may explain it better than I can.

In essence you can switch pairs on or off.

The ipod input is just a phono input at the back of the receiver

We do have them in stock and I think they are excellent value for money and do a pretty good job.

I hope this helps but let me know if you need anything else.
