Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Savoy white wine - or alternatives

    Hey lads !

I'm planning a raclette night quite soon, so I set on a quest to find the matching wine.

Now, for me, the usual obvious answer was a Savoy white, because its relative dryness makes up for the massive quantity of cheese, and the fruity character goes well with both the cheese and the dried meat.

I've contacted DrinkStore, Holland's, Baggot St Wines and Wines on the Green - they don't seem to stock it. So, two questions :

    - Any place in Dublin that would be likely to have any Savoy white ?
    - If not, what would be the alternatives ? I don't recall having ever had anything else with raclette, because Savoie is available in virtually every store in France. But I'm not fussy and am willing to try something new !

Also, I can't think of any beer that would pair well. But if there is, I'd love to hear about it !

    Cheers
