Just wondering do any people know how to see/listen to premiership games in oz, I'm so depressed not being able to see man utd play.

I have telstra broadband but its quite expensive, and youtube only shows the goals. If i bought a DAB radio could I listen to radio stations in the UK?
Is Match of the Day on BBC iplayer? would it cost alot to watch in online using a Telstra dongle? or could I download Match of the day somehow and watch it on my netbook?

Any info would be great, I cant afford the casino every saturday night/sunday morning:(

PS i know FOX sports shows alot of them/all of them but I cant persuade the people i'm staying with to install it:mad: but heading to a farm soon and really want to watch them.

    Cheers

The sports package on Foxtel is $16 a month. Probably best option
Lots of pubs show them too

Streaming all matches online will be more expensive and less effective

Only if you have Foxtel already and are adding it on.

A new basic channels (which you must get) plus sports package is $50 a month on a 12 month contract.

A lot of the streaming websites are free, but i would never encourage this behaviour so CAREFUL NOW!

Sorry I mis read the OP, I was suggesting he pay the extra $16 for the sports and they split the $50/$60 bucks for the base package. That's what I do.
I took it that the rest didn't like sports and didnt want to add it on.

All these streaming suggestions are great but if the OP is only using a dongle then streaming even one game will rape his usage completely.

$50 a month for a new Foxtel subscription is the price of 5 pints, i.e. easily affordable, especially if you've previously been heading to the casino for games.

    Cheers people,

I know the Foxtel $50 deal is real cheap, and if I had my own place and was settled in perth I would defo get it in, but i'm going farming soon and want something that could work throught a netbook/internet that is cheap.

Would a DAB radio pick up UK channels? I think this is my best option if it does..

live online footy is by far your best option, even if you were living at home rather than getting in sky sports, this is a much cheaper and better option!

In the city yes. Local would be about $8.50.

I find cost of living fine as it's relative to good wages.

Footytube seems pretty good for highlights, I have used it a few times and it shows Match of the Day coverage so Man Utd games would usually get 10-15 mins.
