Looking to start PC Gaming

Hi Everyone, Looking to get a gaming pc. Don't know anything about specs etc. And need to get a monitor and all the extra's! Looking to spend around €1000 but willing to spend more. Would really appreicate any help on what specs were to look etc. Thanks!!

Make sure you get a good motherboard, I think it's worth spending extra on a motherboard that can take the latest processor, it allows you to put a cheaper processor in it now with the option of upgrading to a better one at a cheaper price down the road.

Getting a good motherboard will allow you to get a good few years out of a PC, I got 7 years out of my last PC and it was still good when I upgraded to a completely new PC.

Get a good case to for pretty much the same reason, if your going to be upgrading in a few years a good case makes it so much easier.

How comparable is the Superflower PSU to say the Corsair HX750 which is quite a lot dearer. I will be putting together a build in Nov as a Xmas present for the son. I understand the importance of not scrimping on the PSU due to the importance of reliability, quality and performance. A lot of recommendations on this forum have the Superflower PSU as part of the rig. How good is it given its much lower cost.
