    Hi Ya,

I moved to Ireland in January, and was made permanet in my job at the end fo July. My husband still works in the UK and my car ( Uk registered) is due for an MOT at the end of October 2011. It seems that the insurance that I took out with a broker here in Ireland will not allow me to get road tax.

I spoke to the revenue office and they told me that I have to own the car for 6 months, and that its from the date I bought the car. To make things complicated I changed over to a 4x4 at christmas so it seems I have to pay the VRT tax.

I wonder is anyone out there can give me some advice.

    thanks

    hmefh7
