There we go Jamie Carragher the penalty conceding machine strikes again lol

Unfair as it was Spearing who dropped him in the ****e.

A win is a win but god we where awful tonight despite a good first 30 minutes. Really needs sorting out now as we have to push on for a champions league place. In Kenny we trust.

To be fair, they played very, very well in the second half. It's so easy to shake us up, it really is

EDIT: Brighton played well, that is.

Job done, great to see Gerrard back althoughit's nerve wracking to see a player like that come back after such a long lay off.

please no one cares about your betting habits on this thread.

Got there in the end, Brighton and Hove Albion could well be a Prem side next season so give them their due.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,638 ✭✭✭✭murpho999

I know a lot of people will pick lots of holes in that performance but I'm happy to get a win there. Brighton are no slouches and it's good for confidence to get a win of any kind after the last 2 defeats.

Gerrard coming back is a bonus as well, just hope we can start to get some real form going now, big matches coming up.

    Spearing
On another note whens the last time Pepe saved a penalty?

I remember him saving a Rooney one at OT two years ago but Rooney was first to the rebound and scored anyway.

    The basta*d.

Great to be in the next round. Its been a while since we had a decent cup run. We played very well in the first half and should have been out of sight. Bellamy was a menace and was involved in both goals. Suarez badly needs to find the net soon but Im not worried about it as the lad offers alot more than scoring goals, hel end the drought on Saturday. Scum in the next round would be nice!

Been a while alright. Was against Man United last year, with a tap-in scored from the rebound.

Yeah i remember that also remember when Pepe came first he was a fantastic peno stopper just seems to always go the wrong way now.
Not pointing fingers just an observation

Gerrard about Noone: 'He's a great lad and did a great job on me house'.....made me lol!

Went the right way tonight, most penos are scored if they are on target.

I don't understand a word of that except you are betting €2k on a football match and I find that sickening to be honest. You must be an idiot or a bull****ter.

Especially in these times....you wouldn't believe what a difference €2k would make to my life at the moment.

What? It's his money, let him do with what he wants. Betting those amounts either means he is full time or rich, I'm guessing full time. The bet made sense to me given the Liverpool starting lineup.

Who are you to tell him what to do with his money? He can spend the money how he likes, no matter what your financial situation is.

exactly I knew liverpools would be strong(via Keith Elliott a pro golf gambler from Liverpool) . by kick off Liverpool were as low as 5/4 -1 goal

Fair enough lads, I'm just someone who doesn't gamble and knows that in the long run you don't win.

Regardless of my financial position I don't understand how anyone who is clever enough to have money like that to spare would be silly enough to put it on a sports bet.....incredibly risky and anything can happen.

Personally I wouldn't bet that amount, but tbf how people choose to spend their money is their own business, regardless of how others may believe it could be better spent

As an aside, I didn't back Liverpool at all tonight, but had them to win v Stoke and draw no bet v Spurs (both in accum's) the last two weeks. I think I'll take that as a sign..

Well only three things can happen. You win the bet, your lose the bet or the bet is made void and you have your stake returned.

Yes, and I know which one happens the most.

I don't know why people wouldn't believe him, it's not the sort of thing you'd make up tbh.

It's a bit sh*tty asking him for the screenshot, I'm sure he just wants to forget about it at this stage.

Anyway on a Liverpool related note, that'll do. Bellamy deserves a staaaaaaart as Christey would say.

Played alongside Spearing as a deep midfielder but kind of roamed around. He looked fit, but a tad rusty. Definitely gave the team a lift anyway.

Cheers tusky. Tried to find a clip on footy tube early but nothing up yet!
