Another thing which really annoys me (if you're going to wake up, you might as well wake up grumpy! ) is radio news bulletins:

1) Why are they all on the hour?

2) Why do they all have precisely the same format of news headlines, sport and weather?

There must be a market out there for people who want to have more choice and avoid all the ads and sameness. At least some radio stations could have their news at 15 or 30 or 45 minutes past the hour so we can change over to them/from them when the news is/isn't on. For all the stations out there, there's so little choice when it comes to news and sport.
