Shelters are full of domestic pets that are scared, lonely & malnourished by people not taking these things seriously. but i wouldnt expect someone who can not control their own bladder to understand.

There more chance he trying to sell his fictional dog for more holidays, much more important than paying his debts or looking after his dog. Might be just me but I'd do without the holidays for the year and get my life sorted first - can't afford the dog but hols are fine, definately got his priorities right
