Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I lost my passport in Cork City tonight and I need to get an emergency passport asap as I am flying to Amsterdam this thursday (in 6 days). Any idea how long it takes? Is it possible to get it in one day?

Yes. First thing to do is to report the existing passport missing with the local Garda station and where ever you think you might have lost it. Contact the pssport office when they open. http://www.dfa.ie/home/index.aspx?id=254 Having details of the passport would be useful.

Then get your details together, 4 passport photos and fill out an application form (from Garda station or post office) and get it signed at your local Garda station - where you live. Make sure you have supporting ID. Read here: http://www.dfa.ie/home/index.aspx?id=84782

Then go to the passport office at 1a South Mall, Cork in person.

Remember to bring proof of travel to the passport office or they will not expedite it (do it quickly). If you can prove you're travelling soon, they'll generally put the foot down for you but it costs more.

You won't get it in one day, but if you do as advised above & get your application in today you should have no problem having your passport ready for collection in time for travel on Thursday.

Please use the passport sticky for any queries.
