I doubt it EPM, if you ever hopped off that motorway every now and again you'd see the state of some roads :p. If you ever have to drive through tuam, you'll be cringing for about 20 miles after.

I have done a lot of crap roads and hit many a pothole and never, ever done that at 50. Unless the wheels complete crap or been repaired I find that hard to believe. And Toooooom was a regular stop too.

Anyway, I wouldn't risk a repair. Not worth it dude.

It happened to my mother a few years ago, she had to get a new tyre and wheel replaced, she got it back from the council. Had to send pics of the pot hole and her wheel too AFAIR. Took over a month though.

old lady in Saab 95 rear ended me at a roundabout today. Only really a scratch/dent on the back bumper, but was brought to hospital just to be on the safe side as neck was giving some trouble. Guards gave me all her details. What do i do from here next?

Your not having much luck these days are ya? Report it to her insurance company for a start. Any expenses from your hospital visit should be covered I would imagine.

i know :( same old story lol :) Ya shes with FBD, do i not report to my own insurance no:O and will she be liable to fix damage on car? even though its not too bad but notice-able ?

Get the car checked out, there could be damage behind the bumper, creased boot floor etc, you never know 'till you look. I'd be more concerned about the neck though tbh if you were in discomfort after the accident.

    Panel beater/spray painter :)
They'll advise is there any damage other than what's visible, might have a bent bumper bracket or something if no major damage done.

If you knew that why did you ask? You should consider getting a friend called google? I found them when I bought my latest car and got interested in detailing, and threads on here weren't good for a beginner detailer, my friend google helped :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,238 ✭✭✭Ardennes1944

    ehem....thought not taught :)

you'd be amazed what damage can be done from a small tip. its a tonne and a half weight pushing against some plastic so its understandable too

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 12,102 ✭✭✭✭Drummerboy08

I have one Cat out of my car, must get around to doing the other one.

There is a big enough difference in power alright, 15-20bhp isnt all that unreasonable!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,925 ✭✭✭pudzey101

nice one :) cant wait to get it back and test it out haha !! :) make much difference in sound wise ?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 12,102 ✭✭✭✭Drummerboy08

It was already out when I bought it, but being honest the car is running around 115db at the minute which is nearly as loud as a 747 at takeoff power....:D

I just finished de catting a friends civic this morning in the driveway...Seems to be abit more throttle responsive now. Standard back box on the car so it's just a simple decat. Sounds more raspy aswell.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,925 ✭✭✭pudzey101

thanks lads ill let yee know do i notice a diffrence :) car was fairly loud anyway before :P ha ha

Lads only got a reminder in the post today about my tax but its up since September
What do i need to do to tax the car now if i was to do it online?

heard somebody say if tax is out longer than 2 months or something you need a stamp or a form signed by the guards is that corrrect?

    thanks

You don't need it. If you owe it, you pay arrears on it. So in your case you'd pay for the months it wasn't taxed, or since your date of purchase. If it's from your date of purchase, you need to get the form stamped at the guards.

Are you with Quinn (now Liberty)? If so then yes if your current policy is still active on your car and its not written off or damaged beyond repair and you have their permission and its not a commercial vehicle.

But you should always double and triple check these things!
