Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Renault Megane II - Fan belt tensioner

Hey peeps. The fan belt tensioner on my wife's 2003 Renault megane started to squeak. While the car is running I poured water on the tensioner bearing and the squeaking stopped so I'm certain the noise is coming from there.

I purchased a new tensioner and fan belt but when I got round to changing it I found that there is hardly any space to work. I doubt I'll be able to fit my hand down between the car's body and the tensioner to release it. I also removed the drivers side wheel and plastic pannel inside the mud guard in the hope that I could reach it from there but I don't think it is possible to gain access this way either.

Has anyone change a fan belt tensioner in a Megane II?
    How did you do it?
What size spanner/allen key did you use?

    Any advice would be appreciated.
