    What do people think of the argos e readers Would the one for 84 euro be any good. Am I right Kindle cannot be bought in Ireland and one is rstricted to books bought from Amazon with it

    You're wrong on both counts on Kindle, you can buy it in PC World over the counter, and you can download books from Project Gothenburg, or other places. COUGH COUGH.

    go for the kindle , there great , and have a good selection of books
    i got the kindle 2 for amazon .com (us)
    and i think there great

    im thinking of getting a kindle meself....

    i want it for ebooks from gutenberg and pdfs for college...also ebooks that may be somehow aquired by unorthadox methods...ahem...

    does kindle do pdf and epub? and if not can they be converted?

    PDF yes, ePub no. You can use Calibre to convert non DRM protected books.
