Anyone know of a decent butcher in and around Dublin 5?

Looking for pork skin, and some some other stuff and I'm sick of Tesco meat and the like.

As far as I know there are two pretty decent butchers in the Omni centre, and there's Smyths in Raheny - a well established butcher's shop.

Bradys in Fairview are very good as well. Q always out the door in the evenings. Not quite D5, but worth a detour.

Slightly out of your way, but FX Buckley (Moore St, Talbot St) have a good selection.

My mother has been going to O'Leary's butcher in Northside Shopping Centre for as long as I can remember. She swears by them.

I find the Dublin Meat Company excellent, they have a couple of places, if your looking for one in D5 they have one in Artane, you can find them on FB, they do amazing weekly deals for €20 give lots of variety and great advice, I travel over from the other side of the city to use them, couldnt recommend them highly enough, staff are lovely too and give great advice, definitely worth checking out.

I love Smyth's in Raheny. They've recently done up their shop, have lots of meat prepared (I love their stuffed pork steaks) and know their stuff. They're opposite Super Valu in the village.
