Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Would be grateful for any advice on the following.

Currently working full time 9 to 5 job. Hoping to take over parents farm, working it part time. Farm is 40 acres of relatively good land. Thinking of getting into sucklers. Would be grateful on advice as to a suitable suckler cow type that would A) generally calve unassisted B) docile and C) produce a good calf. Calving unassisted would be a big issue due to the job

Secondly, I am considering going down the organic route. Would be great to hear from anyone who is in organic farming as to their experience of it, pitfalls and problems and positives too if they are there etc

    Thanks in advance

    look at AA
A and B well covered. not as valuable calf/weanling if selling in the mart so i've heard but will finish off grass very easily so would suit organic very well if that is your sort of thing. Could possibly out-winter them too

AA would be just what is needed if your going the Organic Route or possibly get some nice SIM cows and serve them with angus, calving will be no problem and calves will be of decent quality.
