Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Oil helps: BUT you don't have to have oil to be rich.

    We have so much underutilized resources here, but our nation scoffs and laughs and resist any mention of possible ‘alternative’ energies.

    The Green party got laughed off the stage when they dared mention any types of progressive direction that Ireland should take when it came to tapping into alternative energies.

    Unfortunately, Ireland is doomed by its insular stereotyping and blatant unwillingness to let go, to let simply go of our steadfast hold on age old monopolising cartels that lead us to the bottom of the pit.

    Perhaps the Vikings will come back and take once again from the sleeping peasants;

    • Hydroelectric
    • Tidal
    • Nuclear

    Eh actually we are building and investing loads in wind and hydro. Ireland would be high up the "leaderboard" when it comes with % of our power from this stuff.

    The only thing that doesn't get looked at here is nuclear, coz Joe public is afraid.
