Mudcats were excellent last night, and got in 40 mins of Oracle too.

Good buzz in Killarney in general.

    Tralee, not so much.

Killarney is just that sort of place, a magnet for stags and hens. And the naff cover bands that entertain them.
Speaking of which zedz dead are in scotts tonight . Rock! :o

In fairness to the Valentia organisers, while LCD Soundsystem would not be my cup of tea, to get 2/3rds of a group that sold out Madison Square Gardens while still adored by critics to a tent in an island off Kerry...serious credit due.

kudos indeed, all started by some local girl too !

Bit late now but the John Connolly Band were in the Blasket last night. If you have any interest in old school blues jazz funk they are well worth checking out.
They are on facebook for further details.

Whoever thought it was a good idea to have K-Fest in Killorglin the same weekend as the bike fest in Killarney must be a bit mental. Best of luck to K-Fest cos one of my friends in involved in it.

Anyway, bike fest line up looks fantastic as always. ACDC tribute, Hells Bells, in the INEC on Saturday night 10pm-late. Guns n Roses tribute in the INEC Sunday night 10pm-late. Warm up bands before both from 6pm on the outdoor stage and in the INEC. DJ after both.

Walking on Cars (from Dingle) are playing on the Sunday night of the Rose of Tralee festival on Denny Street. They played last year too & were pretty good, like what I've heard from them so far.

Its a pity the rest of the musical line up from the festival is so poor this year, really nothing else to write home about, very disappointing!
