I was wondering has anyone found a work around for CSV files into Strava.

Just signed up, is there a way to add accumulated distance without dates, times etc?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 512 ✭✭✭inc21

You can manually add your rides. If your not sure about the dates just fake them.

"Upload activity" on the top right corner.
And "manual entry" on the next page.

It you open your profile, it will give you your total distance overall and your distance year to date.

If you click on the "Training" tab, it will give your distances on a week/month basis.

EDIT: I've just realised you mean adding already accumulated distances to the account.

Is there a way to compare times I've done on a specific route? There is a nice little 24km loop I do regularly and I want to gather all my times for that particular route

You would need to create a segment of the route and then open the 'My Results' tab on the left margin. (If you make the segment private, it will only show your results).

Just found this on Youtube. Thank god the office was empty.

    Losing a couple of KOMs

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,910 ✭✭✭couerdelion

There's a segment in my estate that has only ever had one person ride it until yesterday. It's not on any kind of route that you would plan so why would someone be so desperate for a KOM to make a special visit?

According to Strava - ridden 12 times by 3 people!

    Did you lose a KOM?

Just noticed that, but only 2 people in the table.

No never ridden it, but he's been cleaning up most of the KOM's I had around D15 though.

He does that to advertise his business..regardless of how he achieves the KOM it's free advertising!

Perhaps when a ride is deleted, it remains as an 'attempt'?

Would you not give it a blast? If it's in your area, you'll know the hazards and optimum times to try it! :D

Not sure if anyone else knew about this, but you can access a few Sufferfest videos if you're a Strava premium member.

Tip of the hat to doozerie who put me on the hunt for the page.

Can you get these on a PC? I have seen these on my phone when I had premium membership, but couldn't see any way of getting them on the PC.

What happens if you hit the link Zen0?

The Videos are in the Training section

I don't have a Strava premium account so I hadn't tried the link, bit they seem to be available through a browser now, at least on my phone. Might be worth upgrading for. I tend to use Strava premium occasionally to see how my times compare to other old codgers, given that I'm unlikely to ever be claiming a KOM.

Sure if you've a second place on a segment (which you took from a standing start at the lights), you should get the KOM if the current KOM rolled through it (or had the green)? c'mon!

This happened to me yesterday: http://www.strava.com/segments/632050?filter=overall

Not easy to hang on to it. ~150 in the group. Included some pros. It's the largest training ride around here for miles. We had a tailwind on the way back; some segments were +/-30mph.

Annoying as hell, managed to hit 2nd place on this segment tonight, yet the KOM is completely bogus but apparently has already been flagged so nothing can be done :/
