Finding Professional Work on WHV?

    Hi guys,

I am looking to potentially head out to Sydney (have been before on hols and loved it, also have good mates there) on a WHV in the next month or two and am just wondering what the work situation is like for jobs in the online marketing/online product management/internet marketing area? I am 31 in November and have about 6 years experience in this area with a good CV.

One thing I am wondering about is are companies reluctant to take people on for professional work given the 6 month maximum time with one employer regulation? I am looking on this year as the chance to have an adventure/fun time before I hit 31 and the visa becomes out of reach forever - but at the same time I'd like to get some job at least somewhat related to my career so that when the time comes to head home I'm not out of the loop and there hasn't been too much of a break in terms of experience in my area (that said I realise a year isn't a long time!)

Also, if I love Oz too much I guess it's better to be doing skilled professional work, as opposed to a casual/temp job to maximise potential chances of getting sponsored if that's a route I'd like to take (however slight the chances of getting it may be!) ??

    Thanks

Pretty good I would say. I know of a guy who recruits in this area in Sydney. PM me if you want his details.

Have you checked www.seek.com.au . Plenty of online jobs there. If you fancy Perth, there seem to be some there as well, both looking for PPC/SEO specialists.

I work in that area myself, and if all goes to pot here for me, who knows.......

6 years experience and your age will be a huge advantage.
