Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi All,

I have a very general question regarding vintage bikes. I was wondering whether people may know of any good sources for information on vintage bikes, vintage sales, vintage restoration, etc? I am new to this and lately I have taken a keen interest to this - mainly as a past-time.

    Thanks.

    Hi,
I subscribe to 'Classic Motorcycle Mechanics' and get it dropped in the door every month. It covers everything you're after - old jap & euro bikes, how to fix 'em, info, sales, specialists and lots more. Available at most good book/mag shops like Easons etc. Also if you're after info on a particular model chances are they've covered it and you can buy a back issue, dead handy!Hope this helps,

Try your local library. They're likely to have a few books on the shelf and will order any held at other libraries throughout the country. You don't even need to be a member if you read the books 'on-site'

Lots and lots of magazines available. Older bikes can be picked up pretty cheap now and if you look for a common model like a honda cb or cm parts are cheap and very easily sourced on websites such as ebay. Smaller bikes of 50, 125 or 250 cc are mechanically straight forward enough to tinker about with and will be cheaper to fix if you need to take to a mechanic. Great hobby to get in to .

Web sites, forum communities are the business these days.
Not sure if this is what you're looking for but in my case (1970s dirt bikes) these are all I could ever hope for with regards to help and infos.

If this is not your kind of bike surely there are qeuivalents for what you might be looking for.
