Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Creaking cranks and skipping chain?

    Hey folks, had my bike out for a spin this morning nothing long at all only about 5 km. In that time, I noticed the cranks creak alot when peddaling hard, or going up hill etc. The chain started slipping then once when just cycling on a flat and then once when trying to accelerate from the lights. The bike is second hadn but pracitcally brand new, not a bit of ware on the chain rings or rear cassette. Its a tiagra groupset. Any ideas what it can be?

    If the bike is relativley new chances are that stuff needs to be tightened.
    the chain sounds a bit like cable stretch.Just move the barrel adjuster at the back of the rear mech (where the cable enters the rm) anticlock-wise about half a turn.
    The crankset prob needs a small tighten.
