Well you don't have to haul all those heavy pc's, monitors with keyboards and mice up those narrow stairs in the Workmans club. Plus i would like to see people stand up and play with a K&M.

Giving this a wee bump, we've got space for a few more if people are interested and I'm just trying to get accurate numbers so we can have enough food and drinks etc organised

How many are going from here? if its going to be packed and turn into another Gears of War fiasco i might skips it as its a 6 hour round trip and cost me around 70 euro.

Put my name down. Also, could you ask if we can bring cameras? I'll be the still picture sort, as opposed to the camcorder sort. Canon 450D. Will be taking photos for the craic.

I was at an event for Dead Space 2 run by O'Leary PR before and it was well excellent. The EA staff at that weren't direct EA employees, but promotions staff with good experience of the game - but no point in giving out to them about no PC's if it's a similar set-up ;-).

On the camera issue im guessing its like most events, no direct filming of the screen or direct screen shots. But if you want a pic of you playing the game with a sideways view of the TV or by any of the posters then that should be ok.

But do ask first it's easier to get a simple no than to have some one rush over take your camera and have to go through all the pics and vids to see what you have. Seen this at a very early Darkness 2 event with 2K they said 4 times not to take pics but one guy started taking shots they had to stop the whole thing and spend 10mins going through his camera it was very uncomfortable for the staff.

Tickets not required, I'm passing on the general interest numbers and some Boards.ie member names beside them. I'm probably going to be down there around half 3 to give it a bit of a lash. People are welcome to bring one or two friends with them, just don't abuse it and bring 10 people at a time!

Cameras: I'd say, as Grumpy has suggested, it should be ok to take a snap or two, but it'd be best to ask the ladies running the show tomorrow. As it's not the final full version of the game, EA/Dice may not want pics going out with that clearly being explained.

As an aside, I've just received confirmation that the new hardware I've ordered to upgrade my PC for BF3 is on the way, so I'm rather pleased with that.
