Hi just looking for some legal information about renting. I have lived in an apartment for 6 years paying rent monthly on the 24th every month. We planned on moving out sooner than we thought. Anyway this is the situation we gave notice (wasnt in wrighting just verbal) on the fifth of september and decided to pay the next months rent just in case it our new place wasnt ready. So our land lord is telling us we have to move out on the 5th of october even though we have the rent paid right up until 24th of september. We now realized our new house is not ready, and we were hoping we were legally entitled to stay until the 24th october since we have the rent paid until now. Thanks in advance guys.
