Long ago and far away - possibly the 1960s - Philips made electronic construction kits. The kit had a bread/peg board and various components as well as a detailed instruction book.

I have not seen one of these kits for ages and presume that they are long since obsolete. Is this right or are there similar construction kits around ?

Can you get virtual construction kits where you assemble the project CAD style ?

There are easier to use ones now.

Also simply a "plug-in" breadboard and ordinary parts.

But a UK GCSE component kit, plug-in bread board like above and the internet will work well for a more serious interest.

I had one very like this one a Million years ago. Germanium Transistors. Later they had Silicon transistors on small PCBs.
