No parking outside the club on Chapelizod Rd at the moment due to roadworks.

there will be the usual parking available around Garda HQ and North road, but just have to follow one way diversions for the zoo to get there!

There's parking at the Visitor Centre too!

Not overly familiar with the area but would the parking at the Papal Cross be of any use?

I doubt there'll be parking there as it's on the race route but maybe if you're early enough and it would be convenient for the clubhouse and the finish line.

How early do you think that it would fill up?

To be honest I wouldn't have a clue but I'd aim to be there for 10 or a touch earlier.

Re Chesterfield road. Anyone know if the race will be on the road or the path due to road works.

    Cheers

Guy's, perhaps a silly question but is there any way to enter/pay for this race if you haven't a credit card?

There are entries on day if the don't reach their race limit of 1500. There's a phone number on the website, maybe give them a ring and ask re numbers?

Could download the entry form and post it, they'd probably have it tomorrow if you get it in the post today.

entries on the day 8am-10am.there is 800 entered so far but with roads being narrow I would say you will be running on footpaths during the race.
When will the roads be finished in the phoenix park???

Meant to be finished by the end of December. Given what they looked like last weekend I'd say that that is highly unlikely.

I entered online on Monday and got an email at 19:30 on Monday evening to say number and chip had been posted out. They haven't arrived by post yet. I read on another site that all entries since last weekend would have to register on the day to pick up number and chip which contradicts the email I received. Is anyone else in the same scenario? If you are, have you received anything yet? Thx.

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 20,369 Mod ✭✭✭✭RacoonQueen

Numbers and chips were posted out on the 27th of November. So only people who entered prior to that will get them in the post, generic email just wasn't changed I'd imagine.

There is a comment on the Phoenix Park web site that mentions February 2012!
Given that we expect to be repairing Chesterfield Avenue from October to February 2012 inclusive, event organisers are asked to note that unfortunately no new applications for during that period can be accepted.

1200 + 150 kids registered as of yesterday. Wave starts, sub 20's will go off 4 minutes before the rest of the field.

I don't know why I thanked you, you're just making me wish I was running :(

I'm looking forward to this. Hopefully it won't be too windy as otherwise it should be a very fast course. I've got designs on a new PB although I'm probably not in the best shape after a couple of boozy nights out in the past fortnight. That's a phenomenal amount of entries for a club race. It must be a huge money spinner for Donore.

I'm running with my little 'un for this one, so if anyone fancies 27 minute pacer (or 28, or 26, or 29, depending on her lordships whims!), let's join up. We can start up the front, link arms and form an impassable barrier, to keep the faster runners at bay. ;)

I'm running with my son, not been training as I wanted since marathon so he should keep me in check! I think he could manage those paces. Where do we meet up? I know there's at least two people running with their kiddies

It says this on the website

Race numbers will be posted out to anyone entered by 27th November.[/B]

So I presume you have to collect yours if you entered on Monday which was the 28th of November

You can collect today from 2pm on. They sent out an email this morning confirming that.

Looking forward to this. PB attempt. Undecided whether to try and beat the current PB by a small bit or go out in a blaze of glory trying to get under an unrealistic target by sheer will alone :pac:
