A Canadian man is selling a photograph taken in 1860 which he believes is of 'Grease' star John Travolta.

The seller says the picture - which has been placed on internet auction site eBay with a guide price of CAN$50,000 (€35,943) - could prove that the actor has been reincarnated although he refused to rule out the possibility of time travel.

He said: "I believe this is the photograph of a very young John Travolta taken around 1860. It hasn't been changed, tampered with or altered in anyway. It is clear and is as nice as the day it was taken roughly 151 years ago."

The seller claims the man featured in the photograph has "identical eyes and hairline" to the actor, along with his "very unique trademark chin".
