    Matt Bellamy is not a front man (have seen muse 5 times, love them, not a dig at matt)
    Liam Gallagher is a **** front man, but Q magazine love everything oasis
    Plant and springsteen should be higher up the list

    There are only a few types of frontman, and to me all of the originals are the best, they are:

    Robert Plant: Sexy, dangerous, Golden God
    Freddie: Over the top, camp, glorious
    Mick Jagger: Preening, in your face, peacock
    Bruce Springsteen: "working man", rocker
    Morrisey: Intellectual, arrogant, better than you
    Jim Morrison: Lizard King, Leather pants, surly

    I would argue against any solo artists as being front men, what are they fronting? Themselves? For that reason, no Prince, Elvis, James Brown, Robbie Williams (:rolleyes:) etc

    (obviously all these guys played with a band so no splitting hairs with that)
