Using a UK host for an Irish website

    Hi,

    If I use a UK host and am targeting the Irish market, will this ruin my results on google for searches from Ireland?

    No, ruin is strong! Your top level domain- is it a .ie? if it is, its the first thing s search engine will look at. Otherwise Make sure that u have a webmaster tools a/c, verify the site and use the geo tool to 'inform' google that it's Ireland u are targetting.

    It's only "a" factor. It's not the only one.
    The more important thing to look at is how good the connection is for Irish users ie. ping times etc.,
