It's odd seeing the ATRs at Pier B. Looked v busy in Tearbringer's photos.

Did indeed seem very busy...I couldn't get the angle but there were 3 ATRs in the pic I posted.....plus another one (EI-CPT) beyond the A330......

It just seems odd to see little turbo-props there.

I remember years ago coming into DUB having been delayed a few hours on a soaking wet and windy winter night.

We pulled into Pier B, and were told that disembarking would be delayed because they were waiting on stairs... I could see a perfectly good airbridge sitting there, laughing at us, alas we had to leg it through the huge puddles and driving rain, and then into the cramped, dreary maze of passages that is Pier B arrivals.

Pier E is an absolute god send.

Two B737-8AS's leaving the Ryanair fleet were EI-DLL & DLM which were painted recently by Eirtech Aviation at Shannon in the amazing colours of Thai carrier Nok Air before being delivered out to Don Muang airport, Bangkok via Ras Al Khairmah as HS-DBL & DBM. Photos of two variations at

Great shots of the Antanov AN 225 at Shannon. I was just comparing the max weights and was surprised the A380 wasn't far off.

An 225: Max takeoff weight: 640,000 kg (1,410,958 lb)

A380: Max takeoff weight: 590,000 kg (1,300,000 lb)

Boeing 747: Max takeoff weight: 442,253 kg (975,000 lb)

    It's still a not inconsiderable 50 tonne difference, and nearly 100 over a 747.

I'm not going to quote the EIA320 picture above cause its HUGE!! But I do notice a hatch/door/opening of some sort under the aft starboard door. I wonder what it is, and why it is open? I am thinking it is something to do with ventilation for the APU? Seems odd, I looked at other A320 pictures and others have this open too. Just curious to what it is?

Its the Cabin pressure outflow and relief valve.

Lads last warning on this subject, More posts have been moved to the no discussion thread out of the discussion thread.

Anymore photo's posted in the no discussion thread will receive a day ban for each photo posted in here.

How this thread works is you may quote photo's from the no dicussion thread and post them as a quote then this will generate discussion.

This works well in the Airsoft forum and should work just as well here.

@Westdub Fantastic pics of the C17 arriving in Dublin.

Particularly the nose section with silhouette of the crew.Pretty unique shot.

Perhaps you might consider forwarding that pic to the Public Affairs Office at Dover AFB.I would imagine they would appreciate it.

I heartily concur with de biz on all points. Excellent stuff and that flight deck shot is outstanding.

Attached pic is taken from the Marine Corps official site.

Possibly taken in flight over Ireland (road traffic in pic driving on lhs) during President Clinton's official visits?

If anyone can identify the village let me know....

P.S. it may be in the U.K.

I'd agree, road markings look very UK-ish as well, as does building style.
